Parking Meter Rates Increase in Bridgewater

Posted on Saturday, July 29, 2017 07:49 AM

The cost of using parking meters in Bridgewater has gone up.

The town has approved a rate increase from 50 cents an hour to a dollar.

Council made the decision last month and all meters have been recalibrated to reflect the change.

Mayor David Mitchell says the price remains reasonable for residents and visitors.

"People need to remember that a dollar an hour means $0.25 for 15 minutes. You don't always have to put in a dollar, you can put in a dime or put in a quarter."

The last parking meter rate increase was in 2012.
