Limited Edition Pijinuiskaq Park Stamp Cancels are available.
The South Shore Stamp Club had 150 made.
Club Newletter Editor Jim McCorry says it is nice for collectors in Nova Scotia.
“We sold some at the Stamp Show that collectors around the province would like to have,” he says.
McCorry also says they’re just a nice addition to a local collection.
This also isn’t the first time they’re made a stamp Cancel for the town of Bridgewater.
They did one for the 100th anniversary of the town and for the Forestry Capital of Canada.
“There are a few different cancellations that the Club has been instrumental in getting the post-office to do.”
Cancels are the lines on a stamp meaning it’s been used.
This can affect the value for stamp collectors – negatively and positively.
McCorry says there are a only a few stamps left.
