A hearing will be held Thursday and is expected to set trial dates for a man accused of killing his mother.
John Robert "Jack" Buckley has been charged with first degree murder in the death of Victoria Brauns-Buckley in 2012.
A preliminary inquiry was held recently to determine if there is enough evidence to go to trial.
Buckley has been in custody since last April.
Crown and defense lawyers will meet in Nova Scotia Supreme Court in Bridgewater this week.
The 23 year-old Buckley was originally charged with second degree murder in 2012 and spent roughly nine months in jail before the crown withdrew the charge.
