The Health Services Foundation of the South Shore didn't reach their $175,000 fundraising goal in Tuesday's radiothon.
But, that doesn't mean it wasn't a successful day.
People helped contribute $100,566 to purchase several new pieces of equipment at South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater.
Managing Director, Arleen Stevens, says the weather had an impact on their fundraising efforts.
"We are still thrilled that we raised over $100,000 for South Shore Regional Hospital and to help the doctors, nurses and specialists in our operating room provide the best care and the best service that they can for all of our patients here in the South Shore."
Stevens says she expects donations to continue funnelling into the Foundation over the next few days.
She says the process to begin purchasing the new equipment will begin immediately.
Stevens thanks the community and dozens of volunteers who contributed to the overall success of the day.
