A change is coming to the way Lunenburg residents pay some of their utilities.
Starting in the 2017-2018 Fiscal year, sewer charges will be billed every six months instead of quarterly.
Mayor Rachel Bailey says residents can break the bills down into smaller payments.
"They have the opportunity to still do a monthly contribution towards those larger bills. And for anyone who had not taken advantage of that it's certainly an added incentive to look into doing that."
Bailey says the billing cycle for sewer was problematic as it didn't line up with property tax billing.
The billing software couldn't handle the discrepancy and it meant a lot of manual work for town staff.
