This is Canadian Small Business Week! A small business is defined as having less than 100 employees. They comprise more than 98 percent of all busineses in the country. Nova Scotia Progressive Conservative Leader Jamie Baillie says, if allowed, it will be small businesses that will jump-start the province’s economy. He tells us: “Thats why I think its so important they get a break on the small business tax and they get a break on all the red tape that government after government has piled on their backs. The best thing we can do to honor small business during Small Business Week is actually to make it easier for small business to operate in Nova Scotia.” More than 48 percent of the working population is employed by a small business.
