Winter conditions will be felt across parts of the South Shore this afternoon.
But, it won’t last for long.
Environment Canada is calling for five centimetres of snow before it turns to ice pellets and freezing rain.
A rainfall warning is in effect for Lunenburg, Queens and Shelburne counties as the winter weather will turn to showers this evening.
Twenty millimetres is forecasted for tonight with at least 20 millimetres expected Monday.
The weather agency says the frozen ground has a reduced ability to absorb the rainfall.
Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
