Lions Club members from across Nova Scotia are making their way to Lunenburg County.
The Bridgewater and Area Lions Club is hosting the provincial convention this weekend.
It will bring roughly 300 people to town.
District Governor Claire Brunelle says one part of the convention is to decide on policy.
“We get together and we have notices of motions that have to be done and this is where the Lions get to do their speaking, their voting and making their thoughts known.”
Brunelle says they will also have Lions delegates from Minnesota as guest speakers.
There will also be a meet and greet, dance and the student provincial speak-out competition during the convention.
“And that consists of young people from grades nine to 12 from around Nova Scotia. The eight winners will be competing for our top dollar.”
Taylor Rhuland of Bayview Community School will represent this zone in the speak-out competition.
