As as we prepate to mark “International Women’s Day” on Sunday, she feels privileged to be the Mayor of a small Nova Scotia town with a big heart!
Pam Mood of Yarmouth is encouraged to see more women enterring the political world, federally, provincially and municipally.
She’s also in favor of breaking down the fence separating men and women in leader roles although women, in some ways, she says, tend to examine issues differently.
“We ask different questions”, she says. “We come from a different angle. So, it just, I don’t want to say up the ante, but it just changes the dynamics of the position you’re in.”
Pam Mood was elected Mayor of Yarmouth in the municipal election in 2012.
You can hear more of her interview this weekend during a tribute to women on South Shore Sunday Morning.
