Aspiring lifeguards from across the province will be in Lunenburg County this weekend.
Risser’s Beach will play host to the 2017 Junior Lifeguard Games.
The event is an opportunity for youth aged 7-15 to learn some of the skills required to be a lifeguard as well as water safety.
Games will include swimming, running, board racing and water-tube rescues.
Competitors will be awarded prizes and swag bags from local sponsors.
This is the thirteenth year the games have been held.
They will get underway at Risser’s Beach at 10:00 o’clock Sunday morning.
