The South Shore Public Library will be taking to the roads again today.
Their bookmobile has been out of commission since before Christmas.
Deputy Chief Librarian Jeff Mercer says it was part of their annual maintenance.
"There were a few issues we found. Then of course, like any car, when you bring it in you find a couple of new things. So that had to get taken care of as well."
Mercer says the vehicle will have a fresh paint job and will be running better than ever.
He says the bookmobile is important for people living outside of towns.
"They can place holds, they can make requests. The stuff is delivered to them. So if they have issues with vehicles or health or whatever, they still don't have to leave their community to make full advantage of our service."
Mercer says many people in those communities may not otherwise have access to the library.
He says the bookmobile will resume its regular route this morning.
