A new marketing plan is being proposed for this region.
The South Shore Tourism Team has unveiled a $112,000 plan for 2015-2016.
It focuses on increasing overnight visitors and length of stay from people living in the HRM, New Brunswick and non-resident visitors.
The team is looking for funding from local municipalities, businesses and the Southwest Nova Regional Marketing Fund.
The plan focuses on two campaigns; Tastes of the South Shore from Victoria Day to July 12 and Fall in Love with the Colours of the South Shore from September 1 to Thanksgiving.
The plan is due to the Nova Scotia Tourism Agency by Thursday.
