Nova Scotia Power is reporting they’ve returned power to all but a handful of homes following Christmas Day’s storm.
Those include a small number of customers in remote, hard to access locations such as Tancook Island, seasonal customers who agreed to low priority restoration status, and customers with damage to their electrical system which requires repairs.
Crews worked at close to 1,200 sites to reconnect Nova Scotians over the past four days.
As of this morning, under 300 customers were still without electricity.
According to spokesperson Tiffany Chase, the utility expects to have power restored to all customers by tonight.
