What started out as a family game has turned into a book.
Nine-year-old Breton Hayden and her Dad Tyler have co-authored, “Coffee Talk: Project Special Day”.
It contains ideas on how to find the fun in the most ordinary events, such as running errands.
Breton Hayden explains.
“The last activity in the book is about what you can do if you’re bored and you want to go do something active like build a lego town or – take a sport – go play basketball or soccer.”
Breton says the book also includes activities that help kids and parents spend more quality time together.
Something Breton says, she wanted to share.
“Well I love writing and just having that feeling of kids getting that feeling I had with my Dad on special days and all the games we love to play.”
Tyler Hayden says the idea to publish a book came when they realized Breton was still talking about things they had done years before.
He hopes others can make memories of their own by using the activities.
The Hayden’s will be releasing their book this Sunday at 2:00pm at Lexicon Books in Lunenburg.
