Another year, another Music Nova Scotia award nomination for Catahoula Brown
This is the Bridgewater musician’s fourth nomination, but his first in the country category.
“I was really shocked. Country is a big category on the East Coast and specifically in Nova Scotia. There’s a lot of country artists making albums. I wasn’t too sure what my chances were like,” says Brown.
Brown says the nomination means a lot since the album started out as being a demo for Nashville.
He is joined by five other artists in his category including Andrew Frelick, who grew up in Bridgewater.
The awards will be handed out in Truro at the Holiday Inn on November 5th.
