A scary moment for two elderly women Thursday evening at a retirement home in Bridgewater.
The two were in an elevator when it stopped working in the south wing of Drumlin Hills.
The incident occurred around 5:20 p.m.
They were trapped for about 40 minutes.
Fire Chief Michael Nauss says everyone was alright.
He says, “There was no emergency, the people were fine inside and talking to us and had no problem. We just had to stand by until the elevator people arrived on scene to instruct us how to get the doors open and get them out.”
Technicians reset the power and released the women from the elevator.
