There’s been some nice weather lately for motorcycle enthusiasts.
Some unique bikes are on the road in western Nova Scotia and the South Shore.
The RCMP’s motorcycle unit are assisting local detachments with motor vehicle enforcement.
Corporal Jennifer Clarke says they are a great asset, helping to keep our streets and highways safe.
“They’re based out of Halifax but they are part of our Traffic Services unit, so they cover the entire province.
They’ve been in the Yarmouth area for a couple of days and will be patrolling along the South Shore as well.
Clarke says the officers get a lot of friendly looks when they roll up at intersections, especially in rural areas where they are not a common sight.
