A home near Pleasantville was completely destroyed by fire yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon.
Pleasantville and District Fire Chief, Ed Arab, tells Acadia News the call came in around 3:45pm, with reports of a house fire at 39 Pernette Lake Road in Lake Centre.
While he was not on scene at the time of the fire, Chief Arab notes a number of fire departments responded to the mid afternoon blaze.
“Based on our mutual aid agreement, there would have been Conquerall Bank, LaHave and Hebbville as well as Pleasantville,” says Arab.
There was nobody home at the time of the fire and there were no pets, no loss of life or reported injuries.
As for the cause of the fire, Chief Arab says officials have so far been unable to determine that aspect.
“The Fire Marshall’s Office has been called; they were called once the fire was out and they will take over the investigation,” adds Arab.
The home is considered to be a complete loss.
