The Town of Bridgewater has once again recruited a new CAO from a neighbouring municipality.
Tammy Wilson, currently the CAO for the Municipality of the District of Chester, will start in Bridgewater November 26.
Mayor David Mitchell says Wilson’s experience and enthusiasm made her an ideal choice for CAO.
And he believes the town attracts talented employees, citing departing CAO Richard MacLellan.
“We’re kind of a happening place, we’re thriving, there’s a bit of that challenge there so people in those positions don’t get bored,” says Mitchell.
Wilson has spent the past four years with Chester municipality and holds a masters degree in Regional and Urban Planning from Dalhousie University.
“I am excited to become part of the Bridgewater team and to be part of such a great, growing community,” she says.
Wilson says she’s looking forward to working on initiatives like Energize Bridgewater and the Smart Cities Challenge.
