Bridgewater’s Aaron Lane is back home after he was part of the initial cuts from the QMJHL’s Drummondville Voltigeurs.
The 16 year-old defenceman was right back to work with the UPS Store South Shore Mustangs, as the major midget club opened their training camp this week.
Lane says it was a great experience and playing against older players can help him this season.
“Just bring the same intensity they bring and play at a really high pace during practice and really push myself and others around me to get better.”
Lane says it was a shorter stay than he liked, but knows he still has room to develop and grow.
The Cape Breton Eagles reassigned Bridgewater’s Mason Beck from the club’s training camp on Wednesday.
He’s also expected to return to the UPS Store South Shore Mustangs.
