Social distancing may become the new normal as Canada waits for the COVID-19 pandemic to clear up.
The Prime Minister addressed the nation Thursday saying the situation is evolving every day.
Justin Trudeau says he will let the nation know when it’s safe to return to normal behaviours.
“We are going to continue to follow the best recommendations from experts. We have heard anything from weeks to months. We know this is a difficult time for Canadians and that they are taking difficult and extraordinary measures. We will continue to do that until Canadians are safe,” Trudeau said.
The Prime Minister told reporters Canada is keeping all options on the table including possibly closing provincial borders but didn’t say if that is something they are going to do anytime soon.
Work is still continuing to get the Canadian and United States border closed. Trudeau expects it to be closed by Friday night saying the final details are just getting ironed out now.
