Gyms at public schools in the province will begin the prorcess of gradually re-opening to community groups for physical activity and sports.
A release from the province on Tuesday says community access will be restricted to gyms and washrooms.
The government has earmarked 5.5 million dollars from the federal Safe Return to Class Fund toward hiring additional staff to make sure access is restricted to the appropriate area of the school.
The province says that to ensure equitable access to facilities, rental fees are being waived for this school year.
Regional centres for education and Conseil scolaire acadien provincial have lists of school gyms now open for bookings on their websites.
The lists will be updated as more facilities become available.
