Have you heard? Lego has come out with a new set. A chance to build your own Lego colosseum.
If you got caught with nothing to do during lockdown last spring, it may be just the thing to have on you Christmas list… just in case. Hopefully, we won’t need it, but you can never have too much Lego. And this is the largest Lego set ever.
Well… maybe you can. Like a building set with over 9000 pieces. That would be 9036 pieces to be exact. Just think of how many accidental meetings between a stray brick and the bottom of your bare foot that could bring. But that would probably be good. You wouldn’t want to lose one of those pieces.
And let’s be clear, this is not for children. In fact, this set is rated for those 18 plus. Or that’s how long it will take you to put it together.
The price is a bit daunting, at $550.00 US, but this is over 9000 Lego bricks.
I built a few models when I was younger. I have even helped build a couple Lego kits. This one seems a bit overwhelming. An entire Roman Colosseum, complete with many of the details of the original. Really… it looks both fun and scary at the same time.
If only they would throw in a few little tiny lions, I might go for it.
