Yesterday I came across a lengthy discussion on social media started by a woman who always faces away from the showerhead when she takes a shower and thought everyone in the world does it that way. A majority seemed to agree with her with the caveat that when washing your hair you need to turn around briefly and face the showerhead.
I use a shower not just to stay clean, but to wake up in the early morning hours at 4am. I face the showerhead for 95 per cent of the time. I need that water blasting in my face to completely wake up. (Yes, I know it’s not good for your skin but I’m old and married) The other 5 per cent of the shower time I face away from the showerhead to rinse the shampoo out of the hair on the back of my head.
I always assumed everyone showers that way. Now my world is shaken. Am I showering wrong?
Do you shower facing the showerhead or away from it?
