Nova Scotia launched its online vaccination appointment booking platform today but it’s since been taken down after experiencing technical issues.
At around 9 a.m. Nova Scotia Health tweeted that they were experiencing issues with the website and were investigating.
Two hours later they announced that their web host, CanImmunize had informed them high web-traffic appeared to be the cause of the issue and the site would be shut down temporarily to investigate.
Update: CanImmunize alerted us to extremely high traffic on the vaccination booking site. They are investigating the cause of the slow down. As a precaution, the site has been disabled. Once it is back online, we will advise Nova Scotians through government social media channels.

At the time of this morning’s launch 48,000, Nova Scotians are eligible to book appointments, with this round being reserved for those aged 80 and up.
Although the website is down phone booking is still available at 1-833-797-7772. Nova Scotia Health has advised that they are experiencing high call volumes currently so they ask that people be patient when calling.
Nova Scotia Health says they will issue a statement on their various social media platforms once the website is up and running again.
