There will be a planned power outage this weekend for residents connected to the Town of Lunenburg’s electrical grid.
It will take place between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Sunday.
The reason for the outage is because Nova Scotia Power will be performing required substation maintenance.
Below is information provided by the town on estimated times and impacted areas.
1:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.
All customers of the New Town, Mason’s Beach, First Peninsula and Bridgewater Road circuits.
Affected areas: All areas west of the Lincoln Street/Starr Street intersection, including Victoria Road, Mason’s Beach Road, Tannery Road as well as the subdivisions of James Road, Centennial Avenue, Green Street to Dufferin Street/Maple Avenue and First Peninsula, Upper First Peninsula, Kissing Bridge Road.
4:45 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Customers of the Old Town and Industrial circuits.
Affected areas: All areas east of the Lincoln Street/Starr Street intersection, which includes all of Old Town, Garden Lots and Blue Rocks.
