Were you Team Dolphin or Team Unicorn? Or perhaps something else?
There was a time that the “fun” stores in the malls like San Francisco and Spencer’s had tons of these items to decorate your bedroom, bathroom or even living room. And people did.
The Nineties had unicorns, the 2000’s had dolphins and in between or just after there was the butterfly craze.
None of that stuff appealed to me but I remember being amazed at the sheer number of things you could buy when they were the hottest thing. (Although I seem to remember a dolphin soap dish on the bathroom counter for a time)
What was your favourite? (I’m still a little sad that I never had a cow-print bedspread)
