The Mahone Bay Pool is hopeful they will be allowed to open their doors this summer and they are making preparations so they are ready to do so.
In a Facebook post this week the pool says they are actively seeking lifeguards and volunteers that are needed to operate the pool.
They are asking qualified lifeguards and anyone with some hours to spare to submit applications by email to mahonepool@gmail.com.
Currently, the pool would not be able to open under the COVID-19 restrictions in place as all public fitness centres (including pools) are currently closed.
The restrictions prohibiting pools are part of the most recent restriction which came in response to the third wave of COVID-19 and they are set to expire by the end of May. If they are not renewed the timing could work out well for the pool as they typically open around the last weekend in June.
