1p.m. UPDATE: The estimated restoration time is now 2 p.m. this afternoon.
Over 6,000 Nova Scotia Power customers are without power this morning.
The outage covers a large area spanning from just outside of Bridgewater to Annapolis county.
The estimated restoration time is 12:45 this afternoon.
According to Nova Scotia Power, the outage was caused by Transmission Interruption.

The South Shore Regional Center For Education has also said that as a result of the outage many online classes have been postponed.
