Low cases of COVID-19 have been found among travellers passing through the airports in Halifax and Sydney.
Nova Scotia Health tells our newsroom more than 6,300 people completed the voluntary testing, which launched this summer as another barrier against COVID.
Just three positive cases were identified.
Public Health says 547 tests were taken home and no positives were found that way.
Supervised on-site testing and take-home kits launched at Halifax Stanfield International Airport on June 8th.
However, the testing site was recently removed, and now the airport only offers the COVID-19 home test kits to travellers.
The JA Douglas McCurdy Sydney Airport did not introduce on-site testing.
It started offering the at-home test kits in early July.
