It was a good night for PC candidates on the South Shore with them claiming all five seats in our region.
Throughout the election, our coverage has focused on the ridings of Lunenburg, Lunenburg-West, Shelburne, Queens, and Chester-St. Margarets.
In Lunenburg, PC Susan Corkum-Greek unseated incumbent Suzanne Lohnes Croft by a margin of 634 votes.
In Lunenburg West, PC Becky Druhan won the seat by a margin of 868 votes, her closest competition was Liberal Jennifer Naugler who received 3,197 votes.
In the newly formed riding of Shelburn, PC Nolan Young claimed victory with 3,883 votes, more than all of the other three candidates received combined.
In Queens, PC Kim Masland reclaimed her seat though her riding formerly included Shelburne and was renamed for this election. She too received more votes than the other three candidates in her riding with Masland receiving 3,527 votes.
In Chester-St Margarets, it came down to the final poll which was not tallied till just before 1:00 a.m., PC Danielle Barkhouse claimed victory by a margin of just 232 votes over Liberal Jacob Killawee.
