I wouldn’t claim to be the owner of any horseshoes or clovers, but I did once win “BIG”. I was barely a teenager and I was at the grocery store with my grandmother. I put my name on a ballot for what I thought was a new bike.
I got the exciting call that I was the winner and they needed to know if I was left or right handed. Turns out, I won a full set of PING golf clubs worth about $2000 at the time. I ordered them right handed because I am right handed…turns out I swing left…who knew.
But ordering them right handed worked because I ended up selling them to someone in my town who was in fact right handed and had also tried to win them. I got a stack of cash and he got a deal on some great clubs.
If I never top that win, that’ll be ok.
