What’s the best pizza you’ve ever had in Nova Scotia?
I tend to judge pizza on the crust and the sauce only. Anyone can get their favourite toppings when they put in their order, so, really it comes down to the sauce and crust.
I don’t like “sweet” pizza sauce where they add too much sugar. I want tangy tomato taste.
Now, I have to say I have never had a “Cape Breton pizza – which tends to be traditional crust, very cheesy and the long strips of green pepper lay on top.
Nor have I ever tried the brown sauce pizza from New Glasgow to Pictou called Pictou County pizza.
And my favourite pizza on the South Shore is my wife Karen’s least favourite – but here’s the catch – I like vegetarian pizza while she’s an all meat Canadian girl.
I don’t want to sway your vote by naming the place.
