Residents of Lunenburg will get their first chance to weigh in on a proposed building development tonight.
The town is hosting a public participation meeting where residents can learn more about a 30-unit building that is being proposed.
The development is being pursued by Richburg LP Management who according to documents from the town are seeking to expand the Lunenburg Arms as well as build a four-level structure across the street. The first two levels will have parking for thirty cars and the third and fourth floors will contain thirty suites.
It is unclear at this time if the suites are intended for commercial or residential purposes.
Part of the meeting will include a presentation from council on the proposed amendments that would enable the development to move forward.
Two of the amendments are seeking to amalgamate a pair of adjacent lots. The first pair of lots includes 102 and 94 Pelham Street while the second pair includes the corner of a parking lot on Duke Street and an adjacent lot on Pelham Street.
The other amendments involve changes to maximum lot area and maximum lot frontage requirements.
The Public Participation Meeting is being made available online;
