Lunenburg District RCMP are reminding the public to always ensure they lock their cars after a string of vehicle break-ins around the region.
RCMP Cpl. Chris Marshall says there have been five break-ins reported since November 27th in the Lunenburg District RCMP’s jurisdiction.
“They are spread over the region, with break-ins taking place in Lunenburg, Cookeville, Oakland, and Hebb’s Cross,” Marshall said.
The RCMP could not confirm but many posts on social media from the victims indicate their cars may have been unlocked.
Marshall says cars should never be unlocked and you should also remove any valuables from plain sight.
Anyone with information on the break-ins is asked to contact the Lunenburg RCMP detachment.
