Update: Two families living on South Street are being helped by the Red Cross after a porch caught fire and got out of control.
“Upon arrival the front of the duplex was on fire and quickly spread into the interior of the dwelling; all of the tenants and pets were out of the building at the time,” Chief Michael Nauss said.
The Red Cross is helping out with accommodations and clothing.
Fire Crews haven’t determined the cause of the fire.

9:00 a.m.: Five fire departments responding to a structure fire this morning in Bridgewater.
Bridgewater Fire Department got the call about the fire on South Street, which came in at 3:13 a.m.
Three other fire departments were also called to the scene, including Hebbville, Northfield & Conquerall Bank
Oakhill Fire Department was instructed to Stand by in Bridgewater
Fire crews are still on scene; more details to come later.
