Halifax’s own Mattea Roach has done it again.
The 23-year-old, originally from Halifax, beat her two Jeopardy! opponents for the fourth night in a row Friday, winning another $24,200 USD.
That brings her total winnings to $104,600 USD.
Host Mayim Bialik says this puts Roach into an excellent position for the game show’s annual Tournament of Champions.
She plays for the fifth night Monday.
The episodes were pre-recorded in Los Angeles in January, but Roach is contractually obligated to keep what happens, in the yet unaired episodes, secret.
Roach is a graduate of Halifax’s Sacred Heart School; she still has family in the city and Cape Breton. She’s now working as a tutor in Toronto.
