Police say a Nova Scotia teacher has been charged with assault after a student was allegedly pushed in a classroom earlier this month.
The Nova Scotia Department of Community Services contacted RCMP on April 11th regarding the incident at the school on Highway 1 in Three Mile Plains.
The Mounties say witnesses saw a teacher pushing the student on April 7th, causing the child to hit their head on the floor.
The 27-year-old Falmouth woman was arrested on Tuesday.
She’s scheduled to appear in Windsor Provincial Court on June 14th at 10 a.m.
Police say no further details about the incident will be released out of consideration for the victim and their family.
The investigation is ongoing.
