Conservative leadership candidate Pierre Poilievre will bring his Nova Scotia tour to the South Shore this weekend.
The Carelton MP plans to host a meet and greet at the Island and Barrington Passage Fire Department, located on Cape Sable Island.
The event starts at 6:30 p.m., with no word on when it will end but representatives from Poilievre’s team say they tend to run late as he always stays until everyone who wants a photo with him has a chance to get one.
Poilievre is considered the conservative leadership frontrunner in most polls, and his tour comes as an effort to drum up support for his campaign.
The Conservatives will select a new leader on September 10.
More information on the Barrington meet and greet can be found on the Poilievre campaign webpage.
