After five days the large wildfire in Yarmouth County is under control and 100% contained according to the Department of Natural Resources and Renewables.
This morning the department says there has been no significant growth since their last report.
Forty provincial firefighters, an incident management team and two helicopters remain on scene. The CL-415 water bomber, which arrived from Newfoundland to help fight the fire, has been released from the scene, and is now assisting with another wildfire in the Halifax area.
YARMOUTH: Wildfire near Horseshoe Lake is under control and 100% contained. No significant growth in size since last report. Two helicopters, 40 personnel and an incident management team remain on scene today but CL-415 water bomber has been released from scene.
