After nearly two years since a sign with hate speech was first reported to RCMP in Queens County, the man responsible has now been charged and appeared in court today.
On September 7, 2020 RCMP were alerted to a sign with hate speech that was on display at a cabin on Beaver Tail Lane in Buckfield.
The sign was taken down the following day by owner Mark Andrew Kozlowski.
After investigations RCMP arrested Kozlowski at his residence in Dartmouth, where they also seized the sign in question.
Kozlowski was released shortly after, as they gathered more evidence for their investigation.
On March 22, 2022, Queens District RCMP charged Kozlowski with Wilfully Promoting Hatred Against Any Identifiable Group.
RCMP were unwilling to comment on what the sign said or what groups it was attacking.
