Thanks to inflation and the high cost of food these days, more and more people are putting in a small veggy garden or raising a few things in containers.
I’ve been growing vegetables every season for years, with varying degrees of success.
I’ve tried growing all kinds of vegetables, but I’ve never grown potatoes for two reasons.
For one , they tend to be the cheapest produce you can buy all year round, so why grow them yourself?
But the main reason is that I was told that you have to pick the bugs off them every few days.
Now I find out that the first year you put them in the bug problem doesn’t exist.
So I’m putting in peas, beans, cukes, beets, tomatoes and squash and for a first time potatoes!
What’s in your garden?
