A handful of residents, municipal representatives, firefighters, and media, along with their guests had the chance to be the first ones out on the giant inflatables and the reviews were overwhelmingly positive.

The park features a sprawling web of giant inflatables, with jump pads, “Wipeout” inspired obstacles, and the centerpiece- the giant 40ft inflatable unicorn.
“It really just stands out in this site and I think everyone that had a chance to get out today had a blast,” said Splashifax CEO Kristina Lemieux.
She said the soft opening was a great chance to show local residents what the park would look like day to day as well as serving as an opportunity to train staff with people actually using the park.
The lake being used is called Little Lake which is just a few minutes outside of Bridgewater. The surrounding area is mostly uninhabited so as to reduce the number of residents impacted by the noise expected from a water park.
On-site currently, there are washrooms, a small concessions stand, and picnic tables where people can eat. Depending on the park’s success it is possible concessions and facilities at the site could be expanded in the future.
Municipality of the District of Lunenburg (MODL) Couinclor Wendy Oickle, whose riding contains the park was in attendance for the soft opening and watched as her daughter went out as part of the first group on the inflatables. “I’m really excited for this to be here, I just saw my daughter jump off the unicorn and she seems to be having a blast,” Oickle said. “I have yet to hear anything negative about the park being here from my constituents so I’m hoping this can be a success and who knows maybe lead to more businesses will want to come to the Wileville area.”.

Parents wanting to take their children to the park will happy to know there are plenty of lifeguards on duty at all times the inflatables are opened. In addition to guards on the dock who provide safety briefings and ensure guests make it out to the inflatables safely, there are guards stationed around the inflatables atop the high structures where they can see all of the parks.
The park opens to the public on Friday, July 15, tickets can be bought online ahead of time and in order to speed things up upon your arrival to the park it’s advised that you sign all of the waiver information online prior to your arrival.
