The 51st Nova Scotia Marathon took place yesterday with record numbers on the roads in Barrington and Cape Sable Island.
Despite calling for exceptionally hot weather conditions, the marathon, half marathon, 10km and 6km distances all had strong participation and energy levels were high at the start and finish line.
Marathon Committee chair Talent Newell shared how the community comes together to showcase the area each year.
“I think it’s showing people what we have to offer. It’s a small area, but it’s great for people to come see our little town and see what we have to offer,” says Newell.
