PVEC's Kien Fudge Retains Provincial Golf Title

Parkview Education Centre student Kien Fudge claimed his second consecutive SSNS (School Sport Nova Scotia) golf title.

Competing at the High School Provincial Championships which were hosted at Le Portage Golf Club in Cheticamp, Cape Breton.

At the end of 18 holes there was a three-way tie for first and a playoff was needed to determine the winner.

Fudge and another player made par on the first hole, the other made a double bogey and dropped out. On the second playoff hole, the other player missed his par putt, opening the door for Kien to make his par putt and retain his title.

SSNS only lists team wins for golf as far back as 2001 but Fudge has likely become one of only a few people who have managed to win two individual provincial golf titles in Nova Scotia.
