A 55 year old man from Otter Brook required transportation via Lifeflight on Wednesday after his cement truck lost control and went off the road.
RCMP say at approximately 9:40 a.m. they received reports of a single-vehicle crash on Hwy. 329 in Fox Point. Upon arrival they learned that a cement truck had been traveling on Hwy. 329 when it rolled onto its side while negotiating a curve.
The driver’s injuries were deemed serious but not life-threatening, and he was transported for treatment at a nearby hospital.
The highway had to be closed for several hours as emergency crews tended to the scene, but has since reopened.
