In an effort to address the growing problem of water scarcity and wells running dry, Queens Place Emera Centre has taken a proactive step by introducing public showers for the local community this summer.
With the issue of water scarcity becoming increasingly severe in recent years, the Municipality has been working diligently to provide support in various ways, such as offering well top-ups, distributing water vouchers, and setting up fill stations. While some of these initiatives are expected to be implemented later in the summer, the public showers are now available for immediate use.
Recognizing the urgent need for accessible bathing facilities, Queens Place Emera Centre has stepped up to provide a convenient solution.
Operating on weekdays, the showers will be accessible from 8 am to 1 pm, briefly closing for a few hours, and then reopening from 4 pm to 8 pm, allowing individuals to utilize the facilities conveniently after work. On weekends, the showers will be available from noon until 3 pm.
For more information on the availability and usage guidelines of the public showers, residents are encouraged to visit the Queens Place Emera Centre website or contact the Municipal authorities directly.
