You’re driving down a deserted back road enjoying an apple or a banana.
After eating it, if you throw the apple core or the banana peel in the ditch, are you littering or just feeding the animals?
I know, in the legal sense of the word, if there’s a police car behind you chances are you’ll get a hefty fine for littering.
If there are no homes around I suppose you could take a chance, although I’d rather see that apple core or banana peel in my own composter.
