I ran across a new term on social media called “cornplating” that made me laugh. It is when you are a fan of something and post lots of content about it but have run out of anything interesting to say about it. (kinda like what I’m doing right now)
It’s based on a fan of Disney’s Encanto.
Twitter user @hourlydolores posted a screenshot from the film which displayed the character Dolores looking surprised while holding a plate of corn.
The caption, “I never realised she was holding a plate with corn in this scene,” was quickly jumped upon as some pretty weak content- with the most popular quote-tweet proclaiming “Y’all are running out of stuff to say about this movie – I’m crying.”
And that, my friends is “cornplating”.
