The Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre (LCLC) Board of Directors have appointed Janette Hubka as the new General Manager of the facility.
Janette brings a wealth of leadership experience to her new role, having previously held positions at prominent institutions, including the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Alberta and the Art Gallery of Alberta. Most recently, she served as the Managing Director at the Ross Creek Centre for the Arts in Canning, Nova Scotia, which has further honed her expertise.
Janette Hubka is well-regarded for her community-oriented approach and her significant accomplishments in team-building and ensuring operational excellence.
In her own words, Janette expressed her enthusiasm for this opportunity, stating, “I’m excited to bring my expertise to the LCLC. I look forward to building on past achievements and creating a vibrant, inclusive space that thrives as a central hub for community engagement and recreational activities.”
David Mitchell, the Mayor of Bridgewater and the current Chairperson of the LCLC’s Board of Directors, also shared his excitement, saying, “We’re thrilled to welcome Janette as the new General Manager of the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre. She is a dynamic individual with innovative ideas to enhance the significance of this facility within our community. With her extensive management experience, we are confident she is well-equipped to lead the organization.”
